The Proximity Principle
I recently attended a conference where the keynote speaker wasn't the most knowledgeable or even the most charismatic person in the room. Yet she walked away with the most connections and opportunities. Why? Because she mastered something I call the Proximity Principle.
While everyone else was rushing to the stage after sessions, she positioned herself at transition points - doorways, coffee stations, registration tables - creating natural moments for connection.
Too many brilliant entrepreneurs are focusing on being seen by everyone when they should be focusing on being available to the right people. Strategic placement often matters more than perfect performance.
Map your proximity points. Where do your ideal clients naturally gather? What online or offline spaces serve as "doorways" in your industry? How can you position yourself at these crucial intersection points?
Remember: In business, location isn't just about real estate - it's about relational positioning.
Igniting possibilities,
